The Per Diem Program matches employers with Rutgers Camden Law School students, recent graduates or licensed attorneys, who are available for temporary work at the rate of $15.00/hour for students, $20/hour for recent graduates and $25/hour for admitted attorneys. Firms may either sign-up to receive the booklet of resumes and pick the per diem attorney, law graduate or student best suited to their project, or firms may request the next available student or law graduate.
Law students may perform legal work only under the supervision of an attorney authorized to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction. Accordingly, only employers that can provide supervision by a licensed attorney currently in good standing may register for the Per Diem Law Clerk/Attorney Program. Further, students may not work for attorneys in situations where the attorney is acting as a client and not solely as a supervising attorney on behalf of a client. Per Diem Law Clerks/Attorneys are independent contractors and all compensation (other than the established hourly rates) and scheduling details are negotiated solely by the employer and the Law Clerk.
If you are a graduate or current student and interested in participating in Per Diem Program, please sign into Symplicity to register. If you are an employer in need of assistance with a project, please complete the form below. For information on our on-line job posting service, click here.
